Woodland first became noticed on the map in 1869 when railroads were being built and flourishing. Prior to Woodland finding its place on the map, this area has a rich history full of enterprising merchants, farmers, and business people who had a vision of the city one day becoming one of the richest grain-growing trading centers in the nation.

Today Woodland is home to approximately 58,000 residents. Locals and visitors have a variety of activities and places to visit in and around Woodland. One of the most unique places is Reiff’s Gas Station Museum. This museum is full of antique exhibits that make it a great venue for a special event or a great place to take pictures. Reiff’s Gas Station Museum is a diner-style venue with a large collection of vintage gas pumps from the 1950s.

Another popular attraction is Velocity Island Park - Northern California’s premiere water Resort and Sports Park. This water park offers wake boarding with jumps, paddle boarding, beach lounging, and swimming. Velocity Island Park is home to the largest floating obstacle course in Northern California.
